Crossed Keys began the way most meaningful things do, not in a boardroom, but in a living room. We started this from our house in Southeast London, driven by a simple conviction: too many of our Catholic friends were single for far longer than we felt they needed to be.

We saw the potential in the people around us. We saw the faith, the character and the genuine desire to build a life with someone. What we saw was great future mothers, fathers and spouses. What we didn't see was a platform worthy enough for any of them to sign onto.

Swiping culture is fundamentally at odds with how Catholics are called to approach the sacrament of marriage. It reduces people to a photograph and a split-second judgment, and it has nothing to do with intentionality, discernment, or vocation. But beyond the apps, there was almost nothing accessible for Catholics who wanted something better. No real alternative.

For Catholics, vocation is not an afterthought, it is the foundation. Finding a spouse deserves the same intentionality and care that faith asks of everything else. So we built Crossed Keys.

What started as a project to 'get our mates on dates' has grown into a community of over 500 members, with an engagement already in our first year.

We are proud of what we do, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we are just getting started.
